Justine Ludwig is the Director of Exhibitions/Senior Curator at Dallas Contemporary. Her professional experience consists of the Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, the Rose Art Museum, the Colby College Museum of Art, the Danforth Museum of Art, the Bernard Toale Gallery, and the MIT List Visual Arts Center. Her recently curated exhibitions include Bani Abidi: An Unforeseen Situation, Nadia Kaabi-Linke: Walk the Line, Pia Camil: Skins, and Laercio Redondo: What ends every day. She has written for the Indian art magazine Art Etc, the Swiss magazine Art Collector, and contributes to The Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art. She has been a reader for the prestigious Creative Capital grant, a correspondent for the Pinchuk Future Generation Art Prize, and a juror for ArtPrize7 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Her research interests include memory, architecture, cross-cultural translation, and the aesthetics of globalization.
Ludwig has an MA in Global Arts from Goldsmiths University of London and a BA in Art with a concentration in Art History from Colby College.
The talk will be hosted by Locust Projects. Locust Projects is a not for profit exhibition space dedicated to providing contemporary visual artists the freedom to experiment with new ideas without the pressures of gallery sales or limitations of conventional exhibition spaces.
