The Miami Rail is pleased to present Evan Moffitt, our 18th Visiting Writer to date. Moffitt is a New York-based writer and Assistant Editor at frieze. His work has appeared in publications such as Art in America, Apollo, Flash Art, and San Francisco Arts Quarterly (SFAQ)
Originally from Los Angeles, he has served as Associate Editor for PARIS, LA and Contemporary Art Review Los Angeles, and as Assistant Editor for the Los Angeles Review of Books. He is also the former Editor-in-Chief of the Hammer Museum’s annual interdisciplinary arts journal, Graphite. After graduating from the Art History and Philosophy programs at the University of California, Los Angeles, his senior thesis, “Rotimi Fani-Kayode’s Ecstatic Antibodies,” was published by Transition Magazine, a scholarly journal of Harvard University’s Hutchins Center for African and African American Research.
We are happy to partner with the Institute of Contemporary Art to host this talk. The ICA Miami is dedicated to promoting the work of contemporary artists and to the exchange of art and ideas throughout the Miami region and internationally.
The Visiting Writers Program, hosted by the Miami Rail, is supported by the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
